Join Sho Higuchi in this very special workshop series to balance all seven of our major chakras. The chakras are the psychic wheels of energy, the focal points of prana, the vital life force that flows through our mind-body system. By balancing the major chakras, we not only regain health and balance in our physical, mental and emotional bodies, but we are able to find harmony and balance throughout our entire lives. In each workshop, we will focus on rebalancing a specific chakra through Sho’s unique blend of gentle asana, restorative yoga, pranayama/breath work and yoga nidra meditation. Take each workshop separately or join in on all seven for the complete experience!
Reclaim your inner strength and confidence by balancing the Manipura Chakra, our third major energy center in the body. Manipura chakra is our fire center and governs our strength, courage, passions, and determination. When Manipura is under active, it can be difficult for us to get going or have the drive to move forward in life. We may feel lethargic or feel lost without a purpose. Manipura is the fire that lights the way in our path. If over active however, we may become easily agitated or anxious and feel it is difficult to relax and unwind, or even fall asleep at night. When Manipura is balanced, we have just the right amount of fire to fuel our passions into a healthy lifestyle. It is the solar energy within us that allows our best qualities–and the other chakras–to shine brightly. A harmonious Manipura chakra provides us with the energy and determination to take action, effectively face our challenges and obstacles, and achieve our goals.
Yoga Nidra, often called the art of conscious relaxation, is a healing practice which has been used to reduce anxiety, depression, pain, insomnia, and a number of other modern disease states. It is a unique meditation done on the back that helps to quiet the overactive mind and unwind the nervous system. With a unique blend of gentle asana, restorative postures, breath work and yoga nidra meditation, we will work to remove the deep rooted tensions and stresses stored in the physical, mental and emotional bodies.
