Taught by Hunt Parr, this 3-week introduction to the fundamentals of yoga practice is anything but basic. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to learn how to begin a new yoga practice or for experienced practitioners looking to refresh on alignment and modifications. Whatever the reason, please join us for this 3-week introduction! Beginners yoga is not “easy yoga”; you will find it challenging and still be asked to move. We will spend time on a each category of posture practice, proper alignment and breath work but the class will flow and build throughout the 3 weeks. You’ll also learn about the different styles of yoga available to you, the best way to approach your practice, and the fundamentals of safety and self-awareness. When you’ve completed our workshop series, you’ll be familiar with most of the “basic” poses of yoga and be able to join any level of class while knowing how to modify accordingly.
Cost: $85 in advance / $100 on day of. Includes a Basics Flow class which can be scheduled anytime.
