Series Dates: February 4, 11, 25
Taught by Hunt Parr, this 3-week introduction and “crash course in yoga basics” is anything but basic. You might be new to yoga, you might be experienced but seeking a refresher in fundamentals, or you might use this series as a way to introduce yoga into your life. Whatever the reason, please join us for this 3-week introduction to vinyasa (flow) yoga. Beginners yoga is not “easy yoga”; you will find it challenging and thoroughly rejuvenating because it will require that you reconceptualize your relationship to your body, your breath to your body, and how you move on a daily basis. We will spend time on proper alignment and breath work but the class will flow and build throughout the 3 weeks. You’ll also learn about the different styles of yoga available to you, the best way to approach your practice, and the fundamentals of safety and self-awareness. When you’ve completed our workshop series, you’ll be familiar with most of the “basic” poses of yoga and be able to join any level of class while knowing how to modify accordingly.
Cost: $85 in advance / $100 on day of. Includes a Basics Flow class which can be scheduled anytime.
