With a background as a track and field athlete, professional dancer, and fitness model, Angilique began her teaching career as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. Once she discovered the Pilates Method, she decided to focus on teaching privately to help people with their individual needs. She later completed her 200-hour yoga training at the Shala Yoga House where she is closely mentored by Barbara Verrochi.
She is the founder of Pilates Angel, a company which offers private and semi-private Pilates and yoga instruction, in-home training, corporate classes, sessions via skype, and special events in NYC and abroad. She has been featured in several publications including Glamour, Women’s Health Magazine, Elephant Journal, Fitness Magazine, and Refinery29.
Her classes incorporate an ashtanga based vinyasa flow, dynamic sequencing, Pilates core work, eclectic playlists, aromatherapy, and meditation. While each class is challenging, modifications and restorative options are offered to practitioners of various levels. When she is not practicing yoga, Angilique can be found dog sitting, getting fancy manicures, and playing her harp, Maeve.
Angilique describes her classes as: upbeat, inspiring, challenging and fun.
Angilique’s music: eclectic including house, reggae, classical and more.
