Juliana is devoted to the dynamic grace of Vinyasa yoga, to the healing oasis that is Restorative yoga and to the powerful beauty of Prenatal yoga. She leads teacher trainings, workshops and retreats, and has taught yoga in six countries across three continents. Juliana has studied with master and senior teachers in the U.S., India and Italy, and plans to study yoga and its many facets for as long as she lives.
Juliana’s teaching style is both precise and playful. Drawing from a cross section of extraordinary teachers and teachings (Patanjali, Judith Hanson-Lasater, Himalayan Yoga, Atma Vikasa, Scaravelli thru Diane Long, et al.), her classes are an exciting journey toward artfully inhabiting our bodies-and our lives. In a music-free setting, we take the time to listen within. With rich, evocative language, silly humor and deepest reverence, Juliana beckons her students into a non-judgmental, non-competitive space for listening to their breath and connecting to their inner guidance. Detailed explorations of anatomy and kinesiology create the playground. Paying homage to each arising moment is the play. Be prepared to prioritize awareness over sweat. As each class is an opportunity to journey back toward that part of us which already is-and always has been-in grace filled balance.
Juliana describes her classes as: heart-centric, playful, intelligent and non-judgmental.
Juliana’s music: often kirtan (the music of yoga) perhaps blended with some world music and classical inspiration.
