Stephanie graduated from St. John’s University with degrees in Economics and Asian Studies. After college, she worked in Private Wealth Management at AllianceBernstein, and Equity Research and Institutional Sales at Knight Equity Markets. She received her 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Finding Sukha Yoga School in New York City in 2011.
Stephanie discovered her passion for yoga through distance running. She started participating in distance races in 2006, and, due to poor breathing techniques and alignment, struggled with several chronic injuries by the time she completed her first two marathons in 2008. Yoga changed her life on many levels—physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. She has completed 24 marathons, a 50-mile ultramarathon and an Ironman—she credits her yoga practice for giving her the strength and flexibility to do so. Her vision for Sacred Sounds Yoga is that it not only offers rewarding classes in a close knit community setting, but also provides similarly all-encompassing support to those who need it. When not at Sacred Sounds Yoga, you will find Stephanie with her husband and two young children.
